Building collaborations through research mobility

🌱🔬 One of the core goals of PrimSeedPower (COST Action CA24156) is to connect researchers across Europe through knowledge exchange, collaborative experiments and scientific mobility.

This summer, the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology at the University of Sarajevo welcomed two researchers through PrimSeedPower activities:

🇮🇹 Martina Rosa (University of Basilicata, Italy) completed a 3-month Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM), carrying out experimental work for her PhD research. Her project investigates how different light conditions influence tomato growth and physiology, combining expertise from partners in Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Martina will return in September to complete the final stage of her experiments.

🇵🇹 Dr. Maria João da Silva Rodrigues (CCMAR – Centre of Marine Sciences, University of Algarve, Portugal) joined the laboratory for a one-week research visit, working on experiments exploring how plant stress memory can enhance tolerance to salinity. The visit also provided an opportunity to exchange methodologies, discuss future collaborations and strengthen the PrimSeedPower research network.

Research mobility is more than travelling between laboratories — it is about sharing expertise, developing new skills, building lasting collaborations and advancing innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture.

A big thank you to Martina and Maria João for being part of the PrimSeedPower community. We look forward to the exciting results of these collaborations! 🌱💚
